Lumbarda beaches: choose by the day you want
Sand, orientation and the walk back matter more than a beach ranking.

Choose a Lumbarda beach around the amount of time and moving around you want. A full beach day calls for a different plan from a short swim between lunch and a return to Korčula Town. Sand is part of the attraction here, but the setting, nearby facilities and route back should settle the choice.
Vela Pržina for a beach-centred day
The Lumbarda Tourist Board describes Pržina as a shallow, south-facing sandy bay that can become crowded in summer. Investigate it first when you want the beach to be the main purpose of the outing. Allow time to find a comfortable place instead of arriving with a tightly scheduled swim and departure.
Check which facilities are operating during your visit and take enough water for the journey. The existence of summer services does not tell you what will be available on a quieter day or outside the main season. Bring the shade and practical items you expect to need unless their availability has been confirmed.
Bilin Žal for a different orientation
The tourist board places sandy Bilin Žal on the opposite side from Pržina, looking towards the northeast and the Pelješac peninsula. That makes it a different setting, rather than another name for the same stretch of coast. Choose according to conditions on the day and the rest of your route.
A photograph cannot establish whether swimming is suitable when you arrive. Look at the water, read any signs and use local advice. If you want to combine two beaches, ask yourself whether moving between them adds enough to justify packing up and carrying everything again.
Tatinja for a shorter village outing
Tatinja is near the village centre and offers a sandy beach with a view towards nearby islands, according to the local tourist board. It is a useful option to investigate when time is limited or you want the swim to sit within a broader village visit.
Keep the whole routine in mind: changing, finding a place for belongings and walking back can take longer than the distance suggests. A short outing works best when your bag is light and you know where you will eat or rest afterwards.
Give comfort a place in the comparison
Decide whether you want shade, sand underfoot, easy access to a meal or a longer view. Different people in the same group may prioritise those differently. Agree the important requirement before choosing the beach, especially if one person needs to keep the walking distance modest.
Pack a towel, sun protection, water and a bag that keeps the phone dry. Keep shoes handy for the route rather than assuming the entire outing will be barefoot. Keep wet clothes separate from the dry things you will want after the swim. Leave enough room in the bag for packing up without holding everything loose on the return walk.
Finish with an uncomplicated return
For a day visit from Korčula Town, check the current return bus or arrange a pickup before heading away from the village centre. If you are staying in Lumbarda, save the accommodation route and leave enough energy for carrying wet things back.
Choose one main beach for the first outing. If another interests you, leave it for a second visit when you know your own pace. The distinction between beaches becomes more useful after an unhurried day than after trying to compare all of them in one afternoon.
